Germany did indeed unite , as the lyrics say Honestly this would have been a much better fit for modern germany than the current anthem It doesnt really glorify communism at all , its about rebuilding and having hope for the future
As a German, I think this should be the national anthem instead of the current one. It's just way better than having 2/3 of the original song removed. Plus it sounds way better.
